2025-2026 Whalers Overagers

Thank you to our Schmalz Cup Champions Overagers! Tyler Ewald, Jacob Lesser, Andrew McClure, Liam Eveleigh, Lucas Carson & Alex Spencer.
1️⃣8️⃣ Tyler Ewald joined the Fergus Whalers October 2023, coming from the Walkerton Capitals. From the start you could see Wally as a leader. Being both an assistant captain and captain during his time with the Whalers – he showed impeccable leadership both on and off the ice. Ready to show up at each practice and game, but also showing up to events in the CW Community. In his 5 years with the PJHL he has played 172 games, has 85 goals, 111 assists, & 196 points. Tyler has also received the following team awards:
•2023-24 Whaler Award
•2024-25 Best Defensive Forward
•2025-26 Most Sportsmanlike
6️⃣3️⃣ Jacob Lesser joined the Fergus Whalers October 2023, coming from the CCHL Smith Falls Bears. Jake has always been a play maker, a skilled forward, and an active goal scorer. He’s been a key piece for us on the ice. Jake spent 3 years of his junior career in the PJHL. He has played 93 games, has 69 goals, 58 assists, & 127 points. Lesser was an assistant captain for the 2025-26 season and has also received the following team/league awards:
•2023-24 Best Defensive Forward
•2024-25 Regular Season MVP
•2025-26 PJHL Schmalz Cup Playoff MVP
•2025-26 Whalers Playoff MVP
2️⃣4️⃣ Andrew McClure joined the Fergus Whalers December 2023, coming from the GOHL Caledon Bombers. Andrew has been a standout player with the Whalers both in hockey skill and physicality. Andrew spent 4 years of his junior career in the PJHL. He has played 133 games, has 78 goals, 68 assists, & 146 points. Andrew has also received the best defensive forward award for the 2025-26 season.
5️⃣3️⃣ Liam Eveleigh joined the Fergus Whalers June 2025, coming from the GOHL Elmira Sugar Kings. Liam is an outstanding defenceman and is a player with a lot of skill. He has a great resume. Liam spent 1 year of his junior career in the PJHL. He has played 28 games, has 13 goals, 29 assists, & 42 points. He was also an assistant captain for the 2025-26 season and won defenceman of the year.
5️⃣1️⃣ Lucas Carson joined the Fergus Whalers December 2025, coming from the Norwich Merchants. Lucas is a fast forward that knows how to get points. Whether he’s scoring or assisting, he’s always active on the game sheet. Lucas spent 5 years of his junior career in the PJHL. He has played 129 games, has 52 goals, 137 assists, & 189 points.
7️⃣ Alex Spencer joined the Fergus Whalers August 2024, coming from the Paris Titans. Alex is a talented defenceman and respectable player both on and off the ice. Alex spent 4 years of his junior career in the PJHL. He played 132 games, has 4 goals, 21 assists, & 25 points. He also won Most Sportsmanlike for the 2024-25 season.
