Whalers land pair; Alex Spencer from the Paris Titans & Alex Demelo from the Lucan Irish

Fergus, Ontario – It is with great excitement the Fergus Whalers announce two separate trade and signings, landing Alex Spencer from the Paris Titans, and Alex Demelo from the Lucan Irish.

Spencer, a 2004 born D-man, spent the last 2 seasons playing for the Hespeler Shamrocks where he accumulated 15 points over 79 games on the back end. Alex will be a welcomed veteran presence on the blue line.

DeMelo, a 2005 born skater from London, Ontario comes to the team as versatile player who can play both forward and defense. Alex has appeared in 69 regular season PJHL games with the Irish, and has also skated with the Sarnia Legionnaires of the GOJHL as an affiliate player.

Both players are excited to get going in their new colours, and will add experience to the year 2 team.  Training camp begins next week!  Stay tuned for more exciting announcements!
