Whalers mourn the passing of Dan Reeves
On Friday, February 14th, the world lost a great man!
A husband, father, a friend, and one helluva an equipment manager, the Whalers are deeply saddened to share the passing of one of our own, Dan Reeves.
Dan was someone who put everyone before himself. He was one of the first people to volunteer to help the team when it came to town, and has been here for it all. Despite his battles, he came to the rink every day with a smile, greeting everyone as the walked in and making us all feel at home. Whether it was the craziest errand for Ryan, meeting players at the rink at all hours of the day to get into the room, or just being there when we needed him, Dan did it all.
Life isn’t fair sometimes. Hug the ones you love, and tell them it every day.
We honoured Dan recently at our first home game. The link to the video can be found below!
Rest easy, friend!
