Fergus, Ontario – The Whalers are pleased to announce the signing of our newest goaltender, Trevor Woods of Oakville, Ontario.
The 2006 born goaltender spent last season with the U18 Guelph Gryphons program. In 20 games played, he had a 1.68 Goals Against Average, with 3 shut outs. Trevor made his junior hockey debut last season with the GOJHL’s Pelham Panthers as an affiliated player, but looks to make a statement coming into his first full year of junior hockey. Overage goaltender Bradley Boville will also be returning to the Whalers for his final year of junior hockey, so the team has solidified their goaltending, and Alternate Governor Ryan Duck had this to add.. “Everyone that we talked to spoke incredibly high of Trevor. He is a young kid, but is wise beyond his years. Adding him solidifies our crease for another season, and I look forward to watching our goaltenders compete night in and out”.
The 2024-2025 PJHL season kicks off on Wednesday, September 11th. Stay tuned for schedule and team updates!
